Astrology is a science whose
origin appears very mysterious and distant; one could say
that it
dates back to the birth of time itself. More specifically,
most
astrologers believe that the roots of astrology lie with the Chaldeans.
From
there, this science seems to have spread to Egypt, then to Greece and
Italy, to finish by making its home in the whole of Europe, to be
present in France during the Middle Ages when, despite all, it

One
can say that astrology has been fascinating people for thousands of
years. The greatest philosophers, astronomers, doctors and
astro-physicists, have understood the influence of the planets on
mankind. The University of Paris taught astronomy and St.
Thomas
Aquinas admitted the fact that planets could possibly have an influence
on man's behaviour.
In the XVI
century there wasn't a King or a Prince who didn't have a question for
the planets. Catherine de Medici had a cohort of
astrologers in her Court, the most famous being : Nostradamus.
During
this astrological era, 1555 was the year when it was accurately
predicted that Henry II would find his death during a jousting
tournament.
Kepler, who was one of
the greatest of all astrologers, devoted himself to theories, both
weird and imaginary, in order to earn a living. We then went
on
to see the decline of astrology under the reign of Louis XIV who
abolished the title of royal astrologer.
These
days, despite reprisal from scientific circles, this science has
retained numerous followers leaving them the opportunity to make their
own lives of their own free-will, simply showing them their own
inclinations and warning them of the dangers inherent in their own
character.
We can quote important,
famous astrologers who have promoted this science, such as Dane Rudhyar
of French origin, born in Brittany, who made the New World (USA) his
teaching ground, the works of Robert Fludd, Max Heindel, Charles Vouga
and Germaine Holley (Schools of Astrology). Thanks to them, astrology
has been able to expand, to make itself known and to assume a definite
working role in day to day life.
